Crowley's Viplex 222-HV Enables Cost Savings
When Used in Rebond Carpet Cushion

Crowley Chemical has developed a new higher viscosity rebond oil called Viplex 222-HV. "The challenge in this development program," says Bill Jennings, President of Crowley Chemical, "was to incorporate all the quality and performance features of our standard rebond oil, Viplex 222, but at a higher viscosity. This new oil allows the carpet cushion rebonder, using a TDI based adhesive, to return to the oil loadings of their older pMDI based rebond."

The improvement on the profitability of a rebonder's operation can be significant with oil levels incororated in the TDI based rebond adhesive moving from 10% to a more profitable 25%.
